Off topic, but is that roll cage setup available aftermarket for ex-mods? I like the added protection and the appearance, but it doesn't seem many ex- mod 110s have them. Like the weapon mounts too

I occasionally see them pop-up on ebay.co.uk I also don't know of any top that goes over them which probably why ex-mods don't have them

The cages were installed as part of the Tithonus Program. They were made by Safety Devices , but also have a Land Rover Parts Number. A few of mine have had the Genuine Parts Sticker still on them. The only other vehicles that had this cage are the Wolf 110s, or so I have been told.

Ken you are correct. The Wolf doesn't have the front exo cage.

We went with the Jeep Sahara Beige, and am real happy with the results. Looks great with the o.d. green top.

The color doesn't look too bad but come on - painted nuts, hubs, and wheel weights?

Yup. Just like the MOD does. With that said , I will probably paint the nuts and hubs black when I get a chance.

Top is oem. Our local trim shop put the windows in.

British squaddies never were very good at painting.

Lots of variations in Shetland Beige over the years. http://www.landrovercentre.com/listings/ahk568x-usa/

That looks great. Did you take it apart or paint it fully assembled?

We removed the cage, windshield, doors, bonnet, etc, but did not take the whole truck apart. It was done fairly quickly as I want to get it up to Nantucket and we still had a lot of equipment to add. A full, proper color change paint job would take too much time and $$ for what we have planned for it. We may ,however,be doing some full house ones for customers in the near future. Stay tuned.
