Airshows are fun, pretty planes. This was reality of training in 1979, old oily filthy radials, going out to the boat for carrier qualification, fun flying and shooting with my old Rollei 35 pocket film camera. I took one of these to the CAF airshow at Halengen, an old lady asked, while sitting in the cockpit. "What's that smell?" "30 years of puke & oil." I was the last group to ever qual in those, cut pass and a deck run, no catapult. But they where, in spite of appearances, really fast, 350 kts at sea level, 1425 hp.
