AUSSIE AUSSIE AUSSIE.....OI OI OI

Well - I am patriotic, and yes VERY optimistic, but not realistic.
No way we advance with Spain and Netherlands in the B

We will see. It depend on which teams show up. Each team is not complete right now. I will be watching 100% and am sporting my KNVB jersey at work today.

It is tough when its 12 v. 11. That opening game was a joke. That was no penalty in the box, there was no foul against the Brazilian keeper (it was a fair challenge but keepers are just over protected), and the third goal should never have happened. There was a nasty, body flying, no ball challenge that resulted in Oscar getting the ball and that last goal. There should have been a foul against Brazil mid field. Such garbage. Brazil is such an overrated team right now.

Disappoint is an understatement... It was highway robbery.

We'll see how they (the refs) do today.

The only good thing about that awful penalty awarded yesterday to Brazil is that the third goal came from open play.

Look again. It did not. There was a blatant foul at the half line that sprung Oscar. Watch it back. You will see it.

Go to the alternative highlights and fast forward to 12:35.

I hope the Spain - Holland game does not become a Dutch Grudge Match.

Was also disappointed in the quality of the Brazilian squad, less Gustavo's open play goal.

Interested to see how USA plays on the pitch.

The Manaus pitch is in terrible condition now.
Put a bunch of games on it over the next three weeks and it will be so cut up and destroyed.

Holland is pretty much new team from 2010 so doubt be much rematch. Definitely have high expectations from the game. So far level of play & officiating have been mediocre at best.

USA is in tough group. Probably worst possible group.

Here is a game. Spains first goal was off a terrible call. Van Persies goal was gorgeous!
