Thanks - I kinda knew about the car and vans but there was a show on the channel just the other night that showed the scooters as well. At first I was like - "WTF???" but after watching the show it's just a bunch of guys that have fun modding their vehicles. Maybe not so different from us.

Out of all of them - I think the scooters make the most sense. I have never been, but can imagine most areas of Japan being tight and very populated and having a tricked out scooter probably is the most fun. Easier to park/hang out, cheaper parts/fuel and probably a way to really have fun with them weaving thru the streets.

I saw at least one kid wearing a white medical mask in school. Seems to me they are taking SARS way to far. You'd think everyone there would be a prepper though.

But they take cartoons WAY too seriously
