A friend of mine runs a land rover / range rover specialty repair shop. Based on his experience, they are capable of stopping anywhere, anytime, at any cost.

I don't know about the brakes, only their unreliability.

It's funny because we have a house on the market on the island and it is constantly on the news (the island) because of houses falling in the water. Not such a good sales story there...

Feel bad for the homeowner(s) though. Many have been there a generation before the erosion started to become prominent in the last 10 years. Don't think they are going to be able to stop it mid-island. It may become a true island soon if the bridge gets shut off in the next storm.

My generator attaches to my tractor PTO...got plenty of power....just check the fuel every 12 hrs and its al good. We have heat, water, cold beer, chilled wine, lots of chow, and tv. What else could you want!
