Ha. Pleeeease. We're going to dinner at the restaurant downstairs.

It's starting to pick up a bit here now. The first two are from around 2PM - the last two are from right now. Bringing the dog out for a walk now.

About 9 inches so far. Slow start but now coming down at around 2 inches an hour. Temp has dropped ten degrees. One pass with the snowblower completed.

Lucky for you that you live in the civilized world. I couldn't even get a simple sandwich in my po-dunk town at 1:00 this afternoon.

Hingham. Wind is howling like a freight train, but have not lost power yet. The tide is up, but can't see out the windows to see if the surge is coming over the seawall, but I bet it is.....How you making out in Deluxbury?

Just checked the bouys off shore....seas are 23 feet off Boston....29 feet off Nantucket!

It's kinda nice without power. Total silence for a change.
Haven't fired the generator yet. No real need.... Only to keep fridge working.
The snow accumulation has yet to impress me. Talking 4"-5" tops

It's not too bad in NY. It's still coming down but nothing major. I hope to go for a drive in the morning and pull some people out.

Here's the dog on a walk in the snow earlier. He still gets overly excited in the snow.

Then came home with waaaaay too much energy.

Had to drive the mrs to the hospital tonight and drove the Disco. I287 was empty and visibility was bad! Pulled one of her co-workers up a hill on my way back. Had to clean my wipers a few times on 287 and managed to snap these iphone pics...

I need to get Gus some food and clean my place before I leave for Brazil. If I drive in i'll text you and we can cruise around and pull people out for $20 and become rich and buy a puma.

Thinking the snow totals are going to be on the low end of the projections.

I agree. DC/Baltimore metropolitan area got 31 inches a couple years ago. Aside from the winds this storm doesn't seem to be living up to the hype, although its not done....

Local new says Boston technically has 21" as of 7:30am, but I look outside and I see easily less than 12". Maybe because I'm on the water. They also say that some town in ME has over 30".

Hope Ken is managing alright, just heard a report that Nat. Guard is evacuating the low areas a few miles from him. It's an 11' tide this morning and that should make things interesting.

I simply want to get a rough idea when the power will be back on so I can ration my generator fuel appropriately.
