3. Saw a couple of people taking photos in the middle of an intersection, keeping me from driving through. They wouldn't move until I sat there for a minute then started to drive around. They seemed pissed at me for driving.
4. Roads weren't bad until 9:00am, it seems like the snowfall has actually increased steadily in the morning.
5. Harris Teeter in Ballston is currently open and full of food.
6. Entry ramps to 66 westbound haven't been plowed yet, strangely.

I really want to go to Whitetail, since it'll have more than just dirt to ski on this weekend!
Drive over them...

So i cant get up my road - they are doing a good job on main and secondaries - but neighborhoods out here have not been touched...the D acts like a snow plow so I cant get a good head of steam to break up the hill...dang it.

My wife is stuck in Japan for 3 days - cancelled her flight back - she is currently scheduled to get back Sunday night - and her Prius will be under 4' of snow in the parking lot at Dulles. I have to pick her up, and probably 2-3 other FA's who won't be able to fly or drive home.

Only had about 6" when I took a pic from the garage at 6am, but it was around 8" just an hour later and has been at least a steady inch-per-hour since then. I shoveled out the fire hydrant for our elderly neighbor and 5 minutes later it was buried by the plow.

Obligatory snow picture. I've been banned from driving because wife saw a few Porsches/BMWs crash on the road.

In 2007, I was impressed with my Disco. Even without snow tires.

Having never been north of I-20 in during winter, I found myself driving to Halifax, NS in January 07. Was there 11 days. A snow storm came just before I was suppose to leave.

The people I was visiting tried to get me to stay till the roads were cleared. I had to go as I had to be back to work in Texas in four days.

On the divided highway, there were two vehicles. Me and a snowplow. And he was going the opposite direction.

The roads were only bad the first 100 miles getting out of Nova Scotia. I was able to drive the 1900 miles in the four days. Made it for work.

Good talk. I paid for it. I don't pirate music or movies.

At any rate, the movie wasn't good...

we have 4ft lining the streets... RRC can move through it and 1 jeep already rescued (no joke). Our neighborhood has two ten foot snow piles from the plows blocking the only two routes into the neighborhood.

I should have you *tune* mine!

Did great last night though.
Street tires with chains on the rear.
Only problem is my battery is old and dead so I have to keep it on a charger when not driving...

Took the Vee-8 out this morning.
And people dont need to worry, there's no salt on the roads here---just mounds of snow.

This is one of our main downtown streets below-- hadnt been cleared in hours.

I miss a good snowstorm. My dad parked a tank in our driveway once when I was a kid. That's how you properly stoke an 8 year old.

Bring it man, a diesel with adequate fuel is a happier diesel.

Your driveway has to be some of the best wheeling in town.

Going out in the LWB with street 265 michelin's to go over and check on the parents farm in a few.

Um yeah...I was just out going to check on my folks too...but I took the long way.

I will admit defeat-- when I came home, I only made it halfway up my driveway.
Had to leave it on the side and get the snowblower down for a few passes.

Here's a picture on Route 11-- you can see the diff dragging in the snow.

Went out for a little bit. They have been plowing so the roads aren't as deep but much fun to be had off the main paths. I take terrible pictures...
