Window Guards

Awhile ago I bought a set of Mantec window guards. I called Mantec and they said they stopped making them more than five years ago. I then contacted a few people in the UK who told me they had never seen them and there was nothing like them out there. I have had a bunch of people beg me to sell them. I really like them so I don't want to part with them but I did have them reverse engineered through SOLIDWORKS. I have tweaked the design with some small improvements that I saw were needed after using them. I am now working with a company to make them but before I do I want to gauge the interest in them.

Is there any interest before I end up with a garage full of screens?

thanks

Not sure on price yet depends on how many are ordered.

The original ones were a two piece design that was glued together. The new version will be one piece design. Also toying with hole size changes.

Yeah not sure yet on price. I don't imagine them being that bad but they are going to be laser cut for quality reasons so I think people will be happy.

I have a set of those as well. The one piece design will be an improvement because my Mantec ones came apart and I had to have them rewelded. good luck with the design.

I'll commit to a set, and possibly a second depending on price. I leave those windows open all the time by accident. Would be nice not to worry about it.

For me a huge plus would be a hole design that would reduce dust and vent the heat. Not sure how that could be done, but maybe alter the direction of the holes at some angle. Security concerns would be if they make it easy to slide the window back.

Well the holes now are small so the dust shouldnt be that bad. Security wise they fall in to the track when the window is in the first open locked position.

What else did you hold out on me? I thought the deal was if you didn't have a Defender in 3 years you would send me the rest of your defender stash!
