When I first read and responded to this thread, I thought this was the full size window guard being proposed. Having now looked at it, while it looks like a great idea for controlling insect intrusion while allowing ventilation (which is a great compliment to a full guard), I don't see how it really offers any security. It looks like someone could punch it out pretty easily. Can anyone provide feedback on that? I'm still interested, but for the reason I just mentioned.

Well I guess you could punch it out. It sits in the track so odds are you would do some damage punching it out. In fact I don't think if it is sitting in the track it would bend too easily. Might break the glass before you get in. The full window ones are and have been available for a long time from Mantec. This is more for the person who wants to leave their windows open for some air for things like a dog and still feel like the car is locked up.

Understood. I still want a pair, but I also want full guards. So to me, they are different functions.

Okay just got my first prototype done and I think they look awesome. Based on the tooling and an order of 40 sets it is will be about $210 a set shipped in the USA.

Let me know what you think. Holes are bigger than original which I think looks nicer.

I just need to do some final checking and then they will be made.

Yeah odds are they won't help for that. I made the holes bigger as the originals were way to small.

I'll bite(haha) Barry for a set.
And for those worried about bugs, add a netting to the backside...

They are powdercoated. They lock up tight like the mantec ones. You slide it in the window trac and lock the window in the open position. I will get you measurements but I think you can see width based on the original pics. I don't have the 110 anymore so the first set is going to matt. I don't anticipate an issue with fit as they are the same size as the mantecs. I will take pics of them installed for everyone to see.
