down at rausch my winch packed up.just spent 4 hours stripping it down,couldn't find anything wrong put it back together and it works

3rd low and BOOT IT

In the automotive industry we call this the Midas touch...if you touch it and it's healed, take makes up for the times when you touch it and it breaks...the feces touch...
Seriously, though, maybe you had some mud or debris between the brushes and commutator in the motor.

even a little bit of oxidation could cause that. Sometimes just turning a motor is enough to break through that and make it start---happens all the time with Warns.
