Why did I wait so long.

Well as some of you know I have built up a bunch of Rovers in the past. The ones people know are My Red Range Rover that was on 3+ inches of lift long before it was common place. My Disco 2 on 4 inches of lift was fun and all. But I must say my new to me 110 should of been available years ago.

After Winter Romp someone asked me "do you miss all the trucks you have built in the past" and all I could say was HELL NO. The new truck is easy to fix easy to acessorize inside and out. Good on fuel and FUN in the woods. It is amazing how narrow a 110 feels in the woods after spending years in plush trucks.

Anyone else feel the same way as they go to a Defender from a plusher ride?

Eric

Everytime I drive a defender I lament the fact I am not in my RRC LWB with AC cushy seats, street tires and the ability to go fast and sleep in the back out of the weather.

But hey, that is just me.

Well I can sleep in the back, the rest is well a stretch...

Ron regularly indulges himself in petty bourgeoisie comforts. I do notice it whenever I get out of the Defender and into pretty much anything else - but personal comfort is something I gave up when I entered the Shaolin temple at age two - I guess I'm just hard like that.

I agree 100%.
My RRC was beat to hell from woods abuse. It looked like a rolling accident.
Once I got into the Defender I found the bodywork stays nicer (nothing sticking out like in a RRC or Disco) and there is nothing but love between me and the truck. I still drive the same, the truck just agrees with me instead of fighting me.

I do not check PMs. Call or email if you need something.

ECR is not a parts source. We are not in the mail order business.

Nice Eric. how do you like the RHD? It drove me nuts before I rebuilt my truck. I always felt like I was going to hit a telephone pole..lol And the passengers were always freaking out.

Actually I have a ton of time in RHD trucks since I started working so young so it realy doesn't bother me at all. The blind sides are kind of a pain but as soon as I find a couple "African" side windows I will install them.

Thumbs up

Like what you have done with her Eric. I have to agree on the solid sides- scary dangerous @ non-90 degree intersections. Did Carlane get to drive any this weekend ?

Actually we did so much sitting off road being the tail of a line of 21 trucks she never wanted to. She has taken it to friends houses and CT quite a bit but hasn't driven off road much yet.

This has to have a lot to do with White Shrimpers boots.

All the watermen here on the Chesapeake wear those. Here they are known as "Eastern Shore Tennis Shoes"
