Who's in Charlotte area?

I haven't been in Charlotte to long. I am finally going to get my truck brought up here by the weekend. Plus, where is a reputable shop in the area?
Thanks

Im just outside Mint Hill...We do about 99% of the stuff in our own shop but LR Charlotte has always been fair and honest with us and has always done good work. Gary is the service manager and has always been a pleasure to deal with....

Believe it or not, when I lived in Charlotte I used Independence Hummer for both my 90 and my Disco. There were always other Rovers in for service when I was there. Seemed like a good bunch of guys. Probably used them 4-5 times.

I'm here. I do mostly my own work. I have frequent experience with LR Charlotte, since my wife has a Disco II that receives regular services. Coming from Phoenix where I bought my first Disco, LR Charlotte has a lot of work to do to reach the level of service I experienced in LR Scottsdale. There is some new blood in LR Charlotte which is bringing some hope to improvements. For some time there, my wife's experiences were so negative that she wouldn't take her disco in herself.

Post a pic when you get it up here Brian so I can recognize you. Not a lot of defenders around here, but there's a few on the south side, to include myself. I'm the only 110 on the roads, but there's at least 4-5 others down here. My 110 is my daily, so you'll see my occasionally traveling up and down Providence on the daily commute.

PS, Check with Cirbo. He's here in Rock Hill on the south side, and does some professional work. He would be the one to ask for references to other places as well.

I would not give any work to LR Charlotte. It's hard to get them to admit that LR ever made Defenders.

The salesmen there know nothing but Range Rovers, Range Rover Sports, and LR3's. Gary has always taken good care of us and we have never had a problem there.

We took the '56 series 1 there and the guys in the back went nuts while the salesman probably didn't even know it was a Land Rover.

I personally stay away from any dealership with any car once warranty is gone. I find a little shop I trust and stick with them. I have been searching all over town to find someone to do engine work on my '64 Porsche. Turns out my local tire shop that does random work on the 90 and my wife's VW has a guy that used to specialize on '60s model Porsche's, what are the odds? I sold BMWs right out of college and saw first hand the unbelievable crap that goes on behind the scenes at some dealerships. Scary!

Overlander,

I am in south park. I live in a town house right where Park hits Tyvola/Fairview. I will get a pic up here. Pretty sure i will be the only white 90 with a tan Badger top and a big dent in the driverside rear corner panel. I think my truck will be in the garage alot while it is there. It needs lots of TLC.

Cirbo, what kind of work you do? or who do you know that does some quality work?

Rover4X4, I got my truck from the Greenville SC dealership.
