Who's financing Defender 90's???

When I purchased my 90 nine years ago this wasn't an issue. It was still less than 10 years old. A good friend of mine is in the market to finally purchase his first Defender, but nobody will finance it!!! Where can he find financing??????

With a appraisal most lending institutions will give you money . My credit union will lend 90% of high blue book.

Plan B set yourself up with a home equity line of credit.
Most banks will go up to 80 even 85% of your homes value.

I was going to say credit union, most large banks won't touch used car loans for vehicles over 10 years old

Smaller local banks especially if you already bank with them. Easiest route is if you have a home equity line, not to mention the money is cheaper than a used car loan.

If military/dependent, then USAA - no hassle on my truck.

I might save away money to purchase a D90, but would never finance one...seems like a double negative!

Wells Fargo uses NADA and they said the 90 was worth like up to 50k so they had no issues. I think the rate was like 8%.

I did mine through PenFed. All of my local banks said they would not do anything older than 7 years no matter the value. JJ's rate was outragous and the rate that Peter said is high as well compared to PenFed.
