whoooo wants to help recover my D1?!?!

Well, if anyone in the general area of 21773 or wouldn't mind making a day trip (Beer and lunch/or dinner provided by myself) I could use someone with a winch & snatch block (I've got straps and tree saver)

My tranni decided to let the forward A clutch go about 3/4 of the way off my friends property, now I need to recover it so I can put a newtome transmission in. (Would prefer to not do the redneck thing and get my buddy with his 87 F150 to yank it)

I expect it will be about a 2 hr recovery as there are about 4 pulls necessary to get it into the open where a strap can be attached, after attaching the strap it is no more then 10 minutes to the finish. Again I can supply Lunch or Dinner and Beverages of choice for someone that would be willing to help.

Stupid transmission.

I'm in Annapolis and have a 130 with 33 km2's, rear locker and a winch with amsteel and multiple snatch blocks, tree straps, and pull straps as well as kenetics. Perhaps you I and Gimp/Gustavo could have some fun ? Are you in rock or mud ?

I am about 15 west of Frederick and you're more then outfitted to do the job Doug. I'm more so in a ditch right now, not really stuck just I don't have anymore forward progression gears in my transmission apparently. I only say winch as there are a few rather tight spots that I'd rather not get yanked through or across, winching would be much more "safer" in my opinion. Now don't get me wrong, if we get my rig out and you want to do some exploring there is about 150 acres that we can trot around in, some places we will have to make out own way though.

and yes, Gimp must come as well.

figured out why I had no diff lock @ MAR. The locking spring clip had fallen off the pivot point so I'm scrounging now for a replacement.

What you don't wanna help chris?

It also has to do with my availability, m-f after 4pm or the weekends.

I do know locals that could help, just don't know if I trust them enough when it comes to safe recovery operations.

Blake -

We met at the Happy Hour a week or so ago. I live in Sterling (probably ~ 1hour 15min away). I am free to help but not until Sunday. I have a whole day to kill on Sunday and am looking for a mission - earlier the better.

I also have winch, snatch block and yada yada yada .....

Doug,
Ironically, I had no diff lock as well at MAR. Had to end the trails early. I pulled my tranny cover today and found that the diff lock pivot on mine had come out as well. Lucky enough, the bolt that fell out was sitting on the tranny. All back together now and working like a charm.
