Question WHO? Series III 109 - Westwood/Brentwood/Los Angeles ?

Saw a beautiful 109 with fresh "mustard" (not sure the official paint color) paint --- it looked beautiful. Anyone on here?

Is it a 5 door? If so its probably this Austrian guy thats keep his boat in MDR. If its the same one he did a no expense spared restoration on it.

Yep, a 5 door in what looked to be immaculate condition. I would love to get a chance to see it up close.

Very cool. Next time I head down to the marine store I'll try stalking this guy at the Windward boat yard... Thanks!

Well I won't drive to MDR just to see it but definately I'll look out for it next time I go to West Marine. How come nobody went to the Ventura Harbor All British day? I was there with the 110 and sadly, no other rovers were in attendence, except for at the end when I was leaving, I saw a 109 pass by me towards the show (which was already over) I did wave.

Also saw a very nice looking grey-market conniston green 110 in Westwood last week. It was parked on Wilkins between Veteran and Kelton. Anybody?

Last year I saw a Series 88 at a traffic light in Marina Del Ray. IT was in ok shape with a dog hanging out the door... I love seeing series trucks.

That's the one. I looked for it at the Marina last weekend, but no luck. I'm curious what mods have been done -- I'll see if they'll post here....

I doubt they know about this forum. It was posted on roversnorth website by a friend of the owners and i didnt get the sense who really knew what the truck was worth or where to list it.

Saw this truck on Robertson in Bev Hills last week. Talked to the owner who walked up while I was checking it out. Odd that he switched from right hand to left hand drive. Nicely done, tho.

Quite possible. My son has a friend that lives near the marina and I occasionally get over that way...

Where are you in Southern Maine? I lived in Searsmont in the early 80s, and had a '66 109 there. DW

Im in Yarmouth now but still work in LA. I was in the 110 and turning left when i heard honking. I looked to see a bad ass 110 at the light kitted out for expedition travel. I almost ran into oncoming traffic staring at your rig.

Damn, how come I never see you guys around the Marina??? I'm in Playa del Rey. Well, I guess I'm usually in the Disco but I do occasionally let the 90 out to play.
