Not surprised that it was pre-owned by Birmingham CC.

Who would think of it? The same guy that puts "110 Inches of Pure Pleasure" on the front of his truck.
Naugahyde and carpet on the dash? Pure class.

What is it with Europeans and florescent high vis colors? Brits on this forum chime up-the people have a right to know!

As for the dash, it makes me rethink any wood I've crafted for mine...reminds me of the muppet bus just a bit.

Despite what all you Americans think ... That Brits are all sophisticated, smart and stylish ... We do have a few exceptions to the rule ... For this I sincerely apologise.

Can we use Europeans and Brits in the same context? Just doesn't feel right to me.

Since it was a council truck I'm guessing that the green is probably the color they paint their vehicles. Perhaps an emergency vehicle?

But yeah, that dash certainly isn't my cup of tea.

Most likely it was white ... Emergency vehicles have high visibility reflective decals in the UK over white vehicles ( although the did start buying silver for greater resale value recently ).

From your evidence only American emergency vehicles are painted green!

Again, I apologise for my countrymans lack of taste ... I can only presume he was being ironic.

I can't tell in the second photo if the RR in the background is painted green or if it's vinyl, though the bonnet is white.
But I've never been to Birmingham so don't know.

In the description he says he had it "professional sprayed in Kawasaki Green with black accents" so someone made a conscious decision to paint it that way.

I totally concur but I won't apologise. It's the green pool you know.
