Who has the highest mileage?

Hey Everyone,

I've been searching for this answer, but have yet to find the winner.
I'd like to know which forum members have the highest mileage on their

1) Stock 4.0
2) TDI
3) 4.6

I'll start even though I expect I'll get my butt handed to me very quickly.

My 97 just turned 66k miles this morning on my way to work...

Michael

The yellow one has 136386 on the original V8, and has now done 59k on the Tdi. Fortunately, its only the body panels that have done 190k miles.

My diesel 1966 109" wagon has about 375,000 miles on it - I put about 200,000 of those on it. Only around 90K on the D-90. I had 196K on My Range Rover when I sold it. I've probably got well over 600,000 miles of seat time in various Land Rovers over the last 35 years.

My defender has around 140K, but probably alot more. My speedo reads about 5-10mph slower than actual the faster I go.

Wow! 225k on a stock 4.0... that gives me lots of hope, assuming I maintain mine properly.

I credit my 225k mileage to the Amsoil bypass filter system. That also was with 20k mile oil drain intervals. Using Amsoil 0-30w, I switched to 10-30w Amsoil when I took over. You could hardly see the oil on the stick it was so clean. Of course it leaked a quart or two between those 20k miles, but I figured that's why the frame was so rust free, so I did not mess with it. (actually it wasn't that much leaking, but it did seem like it sometimes)

Thats it? Must have been a particularly well sealed one!

Maybe that was the real reason the oil "seemed" clean...it just wasn't on the stick at all

Quite loosely, although the engine is about the only thing that is original

130K+ on the original engine. Only 'major' repair was a head gasket replacement.

Of course, now I've doomed myself to something breaking this month.
