97 d90 just 120,000 kms but we're working on it!

My 1997 d90 has just passed a mere 120,000 kms. Bought it 2 years ago with 75000kms. We do a lot of weekend highway travelling. Only in the salt free seasons mind you. I'd like to get significantly more before a major job is needed.

I try to keep things up:

Oil/filter changes every 5000km with Amsoil 10w40 plus zinc

Transmission/transfer box fluid changed every 50,000 kms

Coolant flush/replaced every 2 years

Upgraded oil cooler lines (rerouted)

No guarantees in life but hopefully I've given my little V8 a decent chance!

280K kms on my original 1998 300tdi and still going strong. But that is not very high mileage perhaps for a 1998.

Only 147k miles on the 1998 Discovery that we've had since new. That's around 100k on the 4.0 and the rest on a used TDi.

There's a guy/customer in Colorado I've spoken with that has 500k on his NAS 90. That is not a typo.

I would be curious as to what parts are original and what has been replaced multiple times.

I know he had a motor rebuild at some point....but honestly if I recall I think it was just one rebuild. I'll try to remember to ask him more details next time we chat.
