For dough or for show? There are a few guys on this site that have rebuilt some beauties! Better than new in some cases, but they hold pinks for their passion.

I don't have any personal experience with them, but I think a few board members do: Congleton Service

They've done some really nice trucks though

Having seen his last project('95 RR SWB) up close, I'd recommend crown14/Joel.

Keep in mind a full restoration will be tough as many parts are really NLA.

Joel did a great job on his, yet, he started with a good example. And he had access to some pretty cool hard to find parts.

My first RRC was from Chicago area and the steel sub frame had started to rust.

What are your expectations for a restoration?

Who does Range Rover Classic restoration, US?

Drivers side floor pan has rusted through. I'd like to find all the rust areas and have them addressed. Truck could use a respray, dent removal. I'm not expecting to win concours awards for period correct restoration, just make it rust free and driveable throughout the year and not worry about rust anymore. I'd spend the money restoring the truck to like-new rather than buying a new car.

Congleton services looks good. Anyone with experience from urban land cruiser/rover in Atlanta?

Congleton= I've heard great things (and I've seen great pictures)

Urban= I've bought parts and they've been great- just got some stuff from their ebay store before christmas/ negotiated on the price and quick shipping on some YRM parts.
But their in-house resto stories are the things nightmares are made of...ymmv

Trusting you (OP) know that RRC can totally rust away even after being refurbished. They seriously rust from inside out. It might be less expensive to find a nice one from SoCal and go from there. Just something to consider.

I believe Urban Land Rover/Cruiser filed for bankruptcy several months ago. If they are still doing any kind of work couldn't say I'd suggest them - have not heard great things from those that dealt with them

Another vote for Congleton. Taylor and his team did a phenomenal job with my '95.

Same as above. With respect, but it's still a '95 classic, just with aero form bumpers and really nice wheels.

Search them on this site.

I have personal experience with them and am here to tell you it was and still is the worst experience of my life. Worst Rover related decision I have ever made.

There are literally dozens of others with my same experience.

Definitely either Taylor Congleton (Congleton Service), Trevor Griffiths (Roverlab/British 4x4 Specialists), or Joel Mercer (Buckhorn Imports)....I'd say don't waste your time looking anywhere else.

Yep.... Congletonservice works exclusively on Rovers, and specializes in RRCs. Joel also did a fantastic job on that white RRC, though I did not know he did restorations for customers.

Thanks for the replies. I'll have to start a build/restore thread once I get going.
