Did a search for Defenders in Vancouver BC on Craigslist, and came across a few that are at the same dealer, based on the photos. Anyone know this place? Maybe they have parts? There are a lot of good looking trucks up north right now. Too new, but still fun to look. http://vancouver.craigslist.ca/bnc/ctd/5182871229.html

Yeah. Pretty basic. Just wondering if anyone here has had experience with them. If they ever have 25 year old models, they would be a good west coast source to point potential buyers to.

Drive buy them all the time. Lots of D's up here. I prefer Rovalution in North Vancouver. There is also a shop/guy in the False Creek area of downtown Vancouver that has a lot of take-offs. Doors, bonnets, etc. nothing great as they are obviously take-offs, but decent enough. I'll try to find his number, but here is Rovalution's website.

There is a lot of nice Defenders floating around the local area. Most imports are from Germany, there are a couple from the Netherlands and a few from Spain.

Like everything, there is a range. I have seen some real junk with a fresh coat of paint and new carpets, along with some real gems.

What it all comes down to is like everyone here on the board knows. It pays to do your research, to know what to look for. If it's seems too good to be true, it probably is. If it says "restored" and it's under $100,000 it's just a paint job, hiding rust and galvanic corrosion.

In our market here, you should be able to get a 2001 Td5 110 for about $35,000. Pretty solid truck, you would just need to "freshen up" a few things.

Here's what you see outside Rovalution on a typical day. Inside theres another 4 or 5.
