When to consider a purchase from a member fraudulent?

I was wondering if anyone knows Chris Goldie (Dimcon). Puchased an exhaust from him months ago and I get no response after multiple emails regarding my parts. Should this be considered "forum fraud", have I been bamboozled. Anyone else run into this problem with Chris. Is he alive?
Help!

Nope, I am sol on contacting him other than an email address. So if anyone know Chris could you have him drop me an email with either a refund or timing on my parts....it would be much appreciated.

not cool. Ruining the trust system that seems to work well here. If it is a matter of principle, you could invest a bit more into your loss and gain the info you need as well as retaliation for D-baggery. Sometimes it makes me feel better.

I had a similar problem with a member who had been on this forum for years and was a productive contributor. I lost $1,500 and the guy evaporated after years of posting. He sells real estate and this was around the collapse of the market. Money changes EVERYTHING.....and while most of us I believe are honorable men it is sometimes difficult to judge.

If you buy anything try to do it through PayPal and better yet use your Amex through PayPal as they have automatic fraud protection. Problem is they have a filing deadline and in many of these types of cases the seller is "stringing you along" until it's too late.

I also believe we should have a separate section to "out" these cretins. While there are always two sides to a story cases like these are not difficult to prove to a moderator who can be a final judge. This would serve as a way to warn others on these deadbeats as this forum may not be the only one they troll. It's also nice to vent and share the "pain" with others. It can serve as an "Amber alert" section to get everyone involved to contact these people and try to get a rapid resolution.

Good luck.

Ok. going to bring this one up again. Anybody know about Larry Burns? Sent him funds for a hood last year haven't seen it yet nor heard from him in a couple of months when he suggested that he would refund my money.

Chris wrote that he would make me whole but that hasn't happened.

Wondering what is up with folks on the forum. I admit I am a slow as sh*t on shipping stuff but I believe I have always come through.

Anyone else seem to have problems or is it just me! (Maybe I am the assh^le or just an assh**le in general) but...

Yeah Larry seemed pretty straight forward, I spoke with him via email and on the phone. I
know people get into a bind, especially in this economy.....just don't understand the philosophical "why" I guess. Make arrangement, set up payment plans, contact the buyer, just do something so you are not screwing someone else out of hard earned funds.

Good and bad everywhere. I personally had a decent experience with Larry, but that could just be my charming personality.

I did however have a miserable experience with a source vendor, but in the end, he refunded my money so I'm reserving the right to out him.

Paid Chris $250 for an exhaust system I never received. Later when he posted some items for sale he promised he would refund my money. Check never arrived nor any follow up correspondence in spite of my efforts.

Both Larry and Chris have logged on recently - one on the 2nd and another on the 7th. Assume you're aware of that.

Yeah, but that was pirate. Those guys like to skin people alive.

Having sold vents to a lot of members on here, I can honestly say that this group of people are awesome compared to any random segment of society. The transactions were all great and nobody was unreasonable at all.

Of course there are going to be bad people in any group, but there seems to be tiny number here. I can think of just one, maybe two.

Good luck getting your money back. I would dispute it depending on how you paid, and it may be a good idea for chris to set up a purchase dispute section for the fireworks!
