Wheelers Dealers Defender

Not sure if this has been posted. Very cool but seeing some of those shops and part prices makes me want to move to England.

They make it look soooooo easy. Just pop in a cam and take it down to the spray booths....

.... the end result was pretty nice.

i wasn't a huge fan of the "Chelsea-ness" that the final product had, a bit too much silver.

Cool show though.

I thought is was a great episode, love that show. That said, like most TV renovation/restoration shows (car or house) they never really calculate the true costs. Must be nice to get labor for free.

Wondering about the quality of the paint job too....and no real mention of rust or mechanicals underneath (brakes, suspension, frame, clutch, axles, etc....)

Ed must be like 7' tall. He just stepped out of the Defender onto the ground at one point. I would fall sideways on my ass if I did the same.

Normally they have a section of the show where they show a collector's vehicle. I wonder why they didn't do that.

Also it looked decent but the fact that they didn't buy a matching spare was weak. Also the wheel spacers were lame but I guess you need them for those older axles.
