I totally agree. The only silly part of the show is that they never account for the cost of Ed's labor ... many of the cars receive well over 100 hours of shop time! Ed is legitimately a first rate technician and inventor.

I watch the show all the time. Ed will tackle any POS Mike brings back to the shop. One thing that bothers me is they reuse rusty bolts and brackets rather than replacing the hardware or hitting the brackets with a wire wheel and some chassis black. But then again I'm a rust hater...

Yup! On the episode where they refurbished the MGB/GT, the did a total paint job, new interior and had the wheels refurbished ... but they left the rusty lug nuts! LOL! Probably the cheapest parts on the whole refurbishment.

I think that's because they are British. There are varying degrees of acceptable rust from what I saw when living in England.
