What's on your Christmas list?

I was just wondering what kind of gadgets everyone is wishing to get for Christmas and maybe looking for some ideas myself. Please list some things you or your Rover want for Christmas. They can be Rover related or not. Some of the coolest gadgetry I've seen lately has been in the Overland Journal including fridges and GPS units, but I'm looking for some inexpensive items also.

Coilovers, rockrings, and a new PS pump. It's going to be an expensive Christmas!

I just want some free time to do my re-gearing, and then get some wheeling in!

Buying myself a 2001 or 2002 P38 Range Rover to hold me over til I can manage a 110.

I bought myself a cheap little Porsche to keep me moving while I am out of a D, but it just doesn`t cut it, so I am selling that and buying myself a RR to hold me over. Hoping to build it up like any of the trucks on rockrover.com

Christmas came early!

Loic was in London last week, and managed to get me a nice little stash of parts - he'll have to tell us the name here as I don't recall it. Just a bunch of little odds and ends that seem to be a lot cheaper than through the local parts houses (and otherwise hard to find) - although I am not sure after the VAT

He also threw in a few LR magazines. One called "Land Rover Enthusiast" has an article on a convertible 110 that looks similar to what I want to do with Janey (and is probably why he got it). I couldn't find any decent pictures online, but the cover is shown here:

http://www.landroverenthusiast.com/j...08/jan_08.html

I wouldn't want to make a soft top, and this has some interesting full door mods to support electric roll up windows, but I love the rollbar, and how they show it with the windshield down

While searching I found a video that has a nice early 110 convertible. This looks to be setup to never have the hard top back on, but otherwise is exactly how I envision what I'd like to do to Janey - a single roll bar to support the main pillar (B?). Fast forward to about 21 minutes to see it.

Anyway, it's got me dreaming and drooling again about how to fab up that roll cage.

Thanks again Loic
charles
p.s. Neil, how did your surgery go? I assume it went well, and that you got your wp replaced ok?
