What is Fair Market Price for a Parts D1 ?

I've posted a thread looking for some D1 parts or a donor D1 and was hoping I could get some insight from the forum as to what the expected value would be to pay for a parts D1 truck. Obviously there are variables to consider in whether it is running, a total piece of shit, or overall condition, so lets go with if I found one that is in running condition and not a total beater. What should I expect to pay for one in that condition?

*Side note, If I find a candidate for the parts I need, is anyone looking for some D1 parts that I could liquidate to offset the cost of the truck should I find and purchase one? If so, start pm'ing me parts you are looking for and maybe we could help each other out on keeping our costs down. **

Cheers!

$500? A chick I worked with sold her P38 to a junk yard. I think that's what they gave her. A D1 might be worth a little more since some of the parts are interchangeable with Defenders.

I would think that a quick glance at your local Craigslist should tell you what your local market price is. Here in the metro Phoenix area I would say $700 for an incomplete truck to $1500 to $2K for a running truck.

A guy on another forum recently paid 500 in NC for a running 5-speed in pretty good shape that needed some clutch work.

I'll have to keep my eye out for one in that price range. If I saw it now I'd buy it.

This seems to cover it. The D1's seem to be bottoming out in running condition over $1k now buy and large, exceptions exist-but if they abounded then Brooks wouldn't be bumping his thread for weeks looking for one close enough to NOVA that he felt safe driving it within AAA range.

I'll keep an eye out for ones more "local" to you, but there are some good ones out there.

Check with Randy Williams at British Boneyard. He has quite a collection of salvaged Rovers for re-purposing near Lancaster/Harrisburg PA.

Figures there are several on West Coast and far up north for that wicked cheap. Nothing like that around here or I'd be all over it.

Relatively close, $1200. Comes up every couple of weeks, so I think you could expect to pay $1000.
