After seeing so many intake/plenum hoses lately I Can't help but think that mine looks different. Any ideas why? Did some 90s have a different style? Hose works great. Just curious.

I've had it in the truck since I bought it 13 years ago. Never realized it was different than most!

Looks like a great replacement. See if you can spot any markings or name on it?

I have that one too. A shop told me the original ones were known to crack and pop off and that I should upgrade. That was 7 or 8 years ago.

The originals rot out and develop holes ... The one in Nomar's for sale thread shows this quite well.

That hole causes poor running.

There was a replacement going round a few years ago and that's it ... I have one but they are seemingly NLA.

I looked up the receipt. RN part number was RNX242, but that was back in 2011. Not sure it is still available, but check with Zack.

Calling ZG. There may be hope! Even if they don't sell he may be able to find former supplier.

Wow has this been in our face all along? Surely Zack would have spoken up already if he could sell these with all the talk about a needed replacement.

That's what I got three years ago.

Would probably make a great hose for a DIY snorkel as well.

LR part number for what you have is PHH100290. That is what was used as the alternate to ESR1316. I don't believe there are many floating around of that hose anymore either.

Wasn't Safari HP working on a replacement for the NAS intake hose a few months ago? Didn't pay much attention since I didn't need one.

Right. I think all the hose replacement ideas have fizzled out. I've seen lots people posting about their issues with holes in the stock ones which got me thinking about why mine looked different. PO must have bought one of the RN ones many moons ago. Good luck to you guys trying to source a replacement.

I think I got one of the last ones LRNA had, which Josh got. I tried to order three of them and they only delivered one before they went on indefinite backorder. There is a TSB that has all of the parts needed to install it correctly.
