We should each do one of our signature things to it.

-Barry could switch out the tire on the tire carrier for an All Terrain
-I could Rhinoline it
-Chris Snell could install carpet in it
-Gustavo could put Equipe stickers all over it
-Brian could build a special enclosure for it to keep it out of the elements
-Charles could make sure it only drives in Locked High
-John could put custom wheel arches on it
-Wolf could fabricate a new front bumper that would hold more gas cans
-provfirescott could install LR3 mats throughout

Awesome! I'm thinking 4 cans across.

These are all great ideas. Just as long as no one decides to paint a Raptor or alligator on it.

I'll have the vent screens galvanized and Josh can drill out all the holes.

I know nothing about Toyota axles but brad had an issue of frequently breaking axles. I would hope we could address it. I know he wanted huge tires and might have added them but I am not sure and kinda hoping he didn't. If this was for my kid I would want it set up so things don't break and it is safe. To me that would be a minimal lift and normal size tires (sorry John)

Damn grocery getters... Brad and I were hoping to do a trip to Rubicon when he was finished with Nola. Sadly we wont get the chance but we should do our best to at least get the truck to a point where its capable even if his son wont be wheeling like that for quite some time.

Looks like Barry and I will be going up to see the truck within the next few weeks. We'll keep this updated as soon as we get a look.

Yeah, we'll see if the family is available this weekend. If not, we'll figure out another time.

So Barry and I got a chance to go up today to look at Nola. It doesn't look great. Both axles are off and it's sitting on some Dollies and tires. We both have some pics that we'll upload. This thing will take some time to get back up and running I think.

As Brian said the wheels are off. Axles off and fully apart, parts everywhere. There are new springs and remote reservoir bilsteins in boxes. Some huge tires and beadlocks sitting outside. The family is tight on cash and really appreciates all we have done as it is helping them get by. As for the truck it is sitting on dollys. To me in an ideal world we would ship it to ECR without the axles on it and let them work on it. Now I have no idea how to ship a truck with no axles. I am really looking for opinions here. Personally I would never build this truck up with the huge lift and tires, especially for a 16 year old when the son eventually gets it but that isn't for me to say. I know there is a school of thought where people will say build it how Brad wanted it but I say build it so it will last long term. I think stock axles and a normal lift and it will be a great 300 tdi that is very capable and will last the kid forever.

If anyone has any ideas of how to get it to ECR that would be great. I will post some pics as well.

Wow. Not a whole lot of inexpensive shipping options for a truck without axles. Cheapest would be to attempt get it rolling. I'd think with an LA wrenching party you'd get that knocked out in a weekend. But it looks like it needs a lot of work in it's present state.
