Did he say what kind of help they needed? It would be great to fix the truck so their kids had it when they got older. I know he wanted to do a toyo conversion but it would be easy enough just to get some stock axles under it to get it running again.

If they need financial help lets see if we can get a paypal account set up and start sending them donations.

Perhaps somebody should make a new thread specifically about finishing up Brad's truck, and we can put it as a sticky?

Yeah that is a good idea. Let's see what his family says and we can go from there.

I'll try and find out as much as I can. When I spoke to his friend last night he mentioned the broken Rover in the garage and asked if I wanted to help fix it. I'm pretty sure it was slightly sarcastic at the time since this probably isn't the first thing on their minds. Hopefully when they're ready we'll be able to help out in some way or another. I'll keep everyone posted.

Brian,

Let me know if there is anything I can do. If you need you parts, money or extra hand in putting it back together. I am willing to help.

Josh

Thanks, everyone. I spoke to a family friend and mentioned that a bunch of us would like to help out with the rover and he thinks it's a good idea. I'll follow up with the family at a later date once they are ready and find out what they'd like to do.

I've post some funeral and memorial fund info here: http://www.defendersource.com/forum/...5&postcount=45

We are a little far away, but get that truck here somehow and we will fix anything wrong with it.

I don't know the current condition of the vehicle. But maybe we all can chip in for shipping to ECR?

I'm so in for getting it to ECR, if that is what is eventually decided.

Not really. We have so much Defender stuff around that it would be no big deal for us. It might mean something big to the family though, even if they had to sell it. A working truck is a lot better than broken one to sell if funds are needed.
I just shudder to think of some vulture swooping in trying to buy a broken truck for cheap from a new widow.

Get the truck to ECR, restore it, then auction it off or have a raffle. Or get it back together and do the same.
