What else can go wrong?

K don't ask. This morning a brake line ruptured. Fortunate that there was no traffic. Got back to the house and parked.
The list for the LWB is getting longer and longer.

Luke from The Shop had that happen @ Uwharrie. He took out some vice grips, pinched off the line and kept doing trails.

Without bad luck, you wouldn't have any.

So a $2 compression fitting spliced the bad spot in the line. Virtually no air got in the line, so no bleeding needed there really. Refilled and bled hydraulic boost and ABS pump. Back in bidniss.

Cool, when I read your post I thought it was a flex line. Given time and ingenuity fixing these trucks is usually fairly inexpensive. Like two weeks ago when The slave cyl went in the 110 on the outer banks. Raub trailered it to an auto parts store for me and an impala wheel cyl seal and piston fixed it like new for $10 with tax. Did you figure out where the leak is on the tdi is coming from ?

Hope to sort out the tdi leak by this time tomorrow. Charles says he's coming to help, so if you're in the Cambridge MD area....there's a wrench waiting for you! Crab cakes for everybody.
As for the LWB it's days are numbered. The rust is really bad, worse than I thought. The brake lines are failing due to corrosion, so that's bad. I have to get a few tens of thousand miles out of it yet but it'll go off to serve others as a donor sooner or later. They always do.
Looking at some SW USA vehicles on CL.
