What do you Dream...?

So I had my first Defender dream last night and it's freakin me out...involved finding an Arles Blue D90 in the country...not drive-able of course and negotiating a purchase price for the D90 with no engine or drive train...I even remember asking the guy if he had a ball peen hammer I could borrow.

Quick plug for the Expo along the lines of Dreaming!

Bill,
Your dream can come true!
For the right price, he will pull the drive train and park it in a field.

Looking at his past sales, I'm sure he has a ball peen hammer . Lol

a pink Detomaso Pantera ? Man you are deeply rooted in the 70's. No wonder you like/collect that non-running leaf sprung stuff. Aren't your half shirts also a 70's holdover ?

A garage find gt40- now thats a dream.
The groupe 4 pantera is also bad ass.
In the 1989 La Carrera Classic race in baja, Rug Cunningham in a BMW m6 had a really hard time getting past a Pantera after having blown past shelby cobra's covette's etc @ speeds in excess of 160. I'll see if I can find the clip. Pantera walks from the wide open M6 on the straights. Sound is great...

Jeffe- I have driven my own cars @ speeds over 160. I spent decades playing with highly modified and grey market turbo charged BMW's and then went to the dark side and played with a couple turbo charged 911 turbo's (aka 930/C2 Turbo) for years. In 2006 I lost it @ 3 digit speed in a sweeping left hand turn uphill in 3rd gear on boost when my right rear bridgestone potenza 300/35/18 came apart. I walked away despite the car having died a horrible death. While single @ the time I have two children and decided 350 rear wheel hp cars would have to be admired from afar. I even sold my 454 powered baja speed boat @ the same time. It's been rovers ever since.

I should add I had a 94 90 @ the time, one of the 100 black LE's with leather seats. That thing sat for months @ a time prior to cracking up the porsche. The 90 got a lot seat time after that.
