another shade of blue

I don't think I've ever seen a good blue metallic, or any dark metallic for that matter. I think most if not all dark 3-stage colors are pearls.

Jeff, what's that color that you're dying to paint a Defender in? Some Audi color?

I have a BMW in "Carbon Black" that I think is about the best looking blue out there...

Mine is currently in a blue a lot like that, I'm trying to fine some rattle cans to use as touch up. Eventually, I will be doing Shire blue, or whatever it is called, but I can't find a definite answer to what blue that actually is!

I believe this is the color my truck was originally. At least, it is listed as being originally Shire Blue, and the interior bits that have not been sprayed still look like this one:
