I'm thinking flying the mehanic(s) over would have been much cooler for the mehanic. Hell for that much money you could replicate the mechanics workstation in the dealership with lift, tools, etc.in a garage where the car is.

Setting aside the wastefulness of it in terms of the environment as mentioned in the article... what's the point? As Doug says, you could build the damn service bay and equip it nicely for that price, and have something to show for it. It's not publicity as the owner's identity is only guessed at by class, so... is it really just an extreme case of more money than brains?

Beautiful car. Thank Goodness I can't afford it... I'd be in jail before its first service; I don't have self control for a car like that.
