The business end of a dump truck by the looks of it. My daughter is 14 1/2 - the storm clouds are brewing.

X2 on the insurance scam.

Funny thing, I just bought a new dash cam at Costco today on sale for $84.99.

If that's a scam its a hell of a gamble to take...run into the back of your partners car HOPING that the car behind you doesn't brake in time..???
I know they usually do it the other way...the car in front of you slams on the brakes immediately after their partner behind you distracts you by blowing on the horn or getting real close to your rear end...the minute you look in the rear view....BAM...you've run into the car in front of you....they do it this way as a lot of people don't have rear facing cameras to record..

Scans are more likely to be done by people in shit box cars. A Toyota Venza doesn't fit that profile.

I'm hoping this is the case. Mu wife went to the "accident" site. Seemingly nice 60 year old lady.

Time will tell. I guess this it what insurance is for. Goddamnit. My daughter was absolutely hysterical. That was the worst part.

2x
2 happens to be the safe separation in seconds when driving.
Glad there were no injuries. It is a nuance, but cars can be fixed.

First and foremost, glad she wasn't hurt!!
Once hysteria fades, it will make her a better driver, i.e.: very likely to never text while driving realizing how fast it all 'can' happen.
Never a dull moment with kids, regardless of age. Wishing her luck with her finals!

My daughter totaled the Volvo I gave her while she still only had a learners permit. That was just the tip of the iceberg.....

Hah! No, this is the "artsy" one. Was headed back to school to finish up working on her art final.

The irony here is that she is the conscientious driver, the other two, well, like I said, lucky it's the first accident with 3 girls that have all been driving for at least 5 years.

I will always be amazed how 3 people, growing up in the same house, same parents, same socio-economic background, can be soooo different...

Makes life fun..

Thanks for the kind words Board.....
