Welcome to the Dark Side

Finally caved and bought a 1972 FJ55. Came with a 2F rebuilt 25k ago and a 4 speed. Epic fail on attempt to drive it north due to a bad fuel pump and dirty carbs but will being it up to snuff in coming weeks.

Nice iron pig! Now hook up with Yankee Toys or Gotham City Land Cruisers (both great cruiser) clubs.

Tough to juggle yota and rover mod money. Trust me I know ;-)

And, officially, DrAaron is the man. Saved my bacon when everything was going pear-shaped in Wilmington with the FJ55. Many thanks and beers on me next time I head south or you head north.

I love the 55. How much filler is in it? Power steering? Power brakes?

Body is very solid as FJ55's go. Power steering and front disc brakes. Will do rear disc brakes at next rear brake service.
