People that have emailed webasto (Matt wheeler) should have gotten an email from him today. Looks like this is moving forward. He was stalling a few weeks ago bc his engineer said it wasn't worth assembling these for 5-10 units, but I reminded him that he committed the order no matter how big / small.

Received the Email today. I responded that I still wanted the LHD units. (inside only)

Dear Patrons:

Webasto is currently processing orders for the Land Rover LHD HVAC kits. RHD kits are not available and we will only be able to accommodate LHD kit orders.

Please read important terms listed below regarding the sale of the Land Rover HVAC kits.

Please respond individually to this message acknowledging these terms.

I will provide sales orders to all respondents with confirmation of kit numbers, pricing and delivery address. Please allow minimum of 45 days for delivery. At this time we have a very limited number of customers expecting to order product.

Attached is the limited documentation we can provide for the LHD kits. Please review to confirm kit P/Ns being ordered.

I am ordering an interior kit and making up my own under the hood kit for a 200TDI Disco engine.
Here's a picture of the setup.
I can have the brackets I made duplicated if that will help anyone else out.
Note: the Alternator off the compressor that comes in 139, 200, or 250 Amp output.

Anyone else get their kit yet? I got the inside part today. I sent an email to confirm that they are sending the under hood part too.

I just got mine today, but haven't seen it yet. Robert got his Evap last week and seemed very happy with its quality. He was just rubbing it in that he got his and I didn't..... I think they are calling people as they come in, no specific order..

I received two big boxes, inside cab units, Thursday. Haven't had the chance to open them up yet however. I had gotten a call from a Gal in the office to get my billing information a couple days prior.

They are really nice units.
I want to find a small vent to blow the cold air down to the drivers feet like the earlier version.
The "jut out" is there (seen in upper left of the picture showing all the relays on the side of the evaporator assembly), just doesn't have the small round vent included in the kit.
Also I was able to order an extra set of vents.

Electrical.

Here is a picture of the electrical connection. It has two plugs and two loose wires. Here is what I believe to be correct, but correct me if I am wrong....

4 wire plug, RB, GB, Y, YG To the 3 level pressure switch

2 wire plug, U (blue), G, The blue to the condenser fan adding an additional ground, the Green is for the compressor. (green one one side and adding a ground on the other)

Red wire, My diagram has it going directly to the alternator. connected to the solid brown wire. (looks like it feeds the thee 25 amp fuses on the unit)

White wire, connection to the ignition original positive white cable 15 amp (switched?)

Are those suppose to connect to the evaporator? You'll probably just have to get some hoses made up. Here are the dimensions for the ends of the hoses that connect to the evaporator on the older Diavia system ('94 NAS). Maybe they are the same on the new one. They look to be the same for the '95 NAS Wynn's system too. They appear to be standard male o-ring fittings.

Yes those are the hoses for the evaporator. looks like they are to go into the hole to the right of the fuse box and the electrical in the hole to the left of the fuse box.

Maybe they're actually female fittings. I guess it goes by the nut. I called them male since the hose part inserts into the other one. It looks like the larger one would just be #10 (5/8") and the smaller one is #6 (3/8").

for the RHD guys, did this work out, this thread has become so confusing...

This is a $2000 turn key option for RHD and LHD

curious if the cost savings for these units and the fabrication is worth the savings

I am sorry to say you have to seek other options for RHD.
Webasto (Diavia) does not offer RHD AC setups.
Am not sure that Diavia ever offered RHD units, but guess the point is now moot as they do not offer them currently.

Your link points to a TD5 kit.
