disabling the right click is just annoying for those of us that use a right click for other things, there are websites I now avoid because of it, and easy to get around if there's a reason too...

The cloaking thing works well and is much more difficult to get around but can still be circumvented (much bigger pain though and I'd bet few car guys would know what to do)

I have had one person send me their demo reel which contained two clips of opens that I made. Not sure how they got hold of them in those pre web days.

I can just click and drag your photos to my desktop. Hey, suddenly I have a bazillion-sq.ft. state of the art workshop, instead of a crummy backyard with a bunch of mud and sheets of plywood to lay on. Pretty cool. Though not sure how I am going to handle the onslaught of imaginary projects.

The reality is that you can't really control it. The only thing you can do is watermark them, or ask them to stop.

Or send a group of axle shaft wielding Rover thugs to their house to bash some knee caps. Your choice.

If the people on the website don't respond, you can always email whoever hosts their site. The hosting companies take IP very seriously and it is usually a violation of their terms.

Do any of the web gurus here know how to make it so pictures can't be taken off the ECR site, or is that just a lost cause?
Same thing happened to me but some assphat is using a picture my daughter took of my truck while on vacation. When I complained about it on Pirate they ripped me a new ..... well, you know what.

The worst parts is that the guy is trying to sell a product that is not on my truck. Oh well....

Mike, simply put a disclaimer on your site that the images are copy written, and that using them without prior written permission is not allowed. It will not stop them, but will give you grounds for other options should you care to walk that path.
Folks these days fail to realize that laws pertaining to the internet have gotten much more stringent.
