Watertown, NY?

In my hunt for a hunter edition Rrc, I found that my old one is now in or around Watertown, NY. Anyone nearby and know a 1991 Hunter in green that would have been considered well built a decade ago? ARB front bumper, sliders, various shades of green on 235s with an ome lift. Looks like it got new tires at pep boys in October.

Thx.

I can't imagine it is anything but a rust bucket. The area from Syracuse to Watertown gets more snow that basically any other place in the US.

It was rustless as of 4 years ago, but concur that it's likely in a bad place now.

I had a 95 RRC while I was stationed at Ft Drum near Watertown and never saw another rolling around. That place is brutal.

I think it was for sale about 6 months to a year ago on craigslist in that area. It was green but had been prepped for paint so it was kind of half primered. I figured it was a total rustbucket NY truck and did not investigate further. It was cheap enough for me to consider, and I hate classics, so like 2-3K IIRC.

I found a guy on LRO that joined summer of last year, posted 5 messages about a friend selling a hunter in Watertown that was halfway through restoration. He said he was going to finish it and then sell it then never logged in again. I sent him a PM but am not too hopeful for a reply. In the trucks defense, it really needed a paint job. and headliner. and some trim work. and carpet. but she ran like a raped ape, had no rust and all the electronics worked.

My 95 D1 door pillars rotted out after 15 years. The chassis mounts had already gone....
