Warrior Dash

Have anyone done one of these? Looks like fun - just signed up to do this in October with some friends.

I have 8 months to train. But I'll take your ass on anytime. We have 4 hours before the bears start losing - want to go snorkeling in the pond by my house - in your slippers, without goggles?

I'm signed up for the Saturday 10am wave.

You might know Scott from an OCC run, but others are just some non rover folks. Sign up for the same wave - I'll gladly show you how it's done in real time, even though I'll be in an old fart category.

Oh, and Donna and Jamie are going to do it too. It's one thing letting a keyboard jockey beat you, but a 15 year old girl beating you is going to be rather embarrassing. But don't let that stop you - they have beer!

Looks awesome!!

Theres another one that i am doing in October. Tough Mudder. Not sure how to really train, but it should be a good time. We were thinking about tethering our group together to make it even harder. The beer will be flowing heavily afterwards.

Me too, but I figure this is about the only thing that's going to motivate me to get in shape.

I'm doing a Tough Mudder 10 miler at Camelback in April with a team of 15 or so of my guy friends. Definitely not in shape to do it yet!

------ Follow up post added January 23rd, 2011 01:39 PM ------

Maybe it's 7 miles; regardless, it's long!!

Wife did one in the Fall It was ok I would rather just do a Tri A lot of people with twisted ankles and falls etc There was a rough bottom in the mud pit a lot of shinned knees and foreheads all of which infected the next day. I don't even like to drive my truck in mud had enough in the old MX days

I was on an adventure racing team when I was down at Ft. Bragg in the 90's. I've been thinking about getting back into some multi-sport events, and I think tri's are for fruit-cakes. I was all set to head down to VA for a mudder' later in the year, then I saw the electricity challenge...

Yikes. My Tough Mudder event is this weekend.

http://toughmudder.com/events/pennsy...urse-map-2011/

I am probably going to make it half way up 2. Death March, then head back down to the finish and straight to the beer tents.

I'm doing the Warrior Dash in Illinois in June. I have a bunch of friends who did it last year and loved it.

It's been in the mid 20-40s here all week, so I'm sure the water will be nice and toasty for me when it comes
Time to do the water challenges.

Cross training. If this course has anything remotely close to laying hardwood floors or wrenching on old rovers, I'm going to excel!
