If we've got 120k to work with, then you'll be miles ahead-
New 110 from Germany: 25-35k USD depending on what model you want
D90 donor: 15-35k
200 hours or labor @ 50/hr: 10k
Travel/shipping/etc: 5k

Take the truck apart in Germany, ship parts. Reassemble around D-90, notifying the authorities regarding major parts swapped out, like chassis etc.

Thats only 55-85k depending on how you do it. Now I know you can do that for a lot less by doing the work yourself and being smart about your buying/shipping etc.

Personally, the "donor d-90" method is the only one I am comfortable using.

Follow-up Post:

And for the record, I dont know about the sheep stuff. I was able to rebuilt my truck without sheep use of any kind.

Oh, I don't have the $120K to work with, that's the problem. That was the quote amount for building one here. That and 3 years wait time, I almost pooped right there.

Thanks for the info Jim, very helpful.

Oh, and for those who are searching for the CKD kit, quit the whining, start making some calls and you will figure out how to do it. My CrewCab didn't build itself.

So George sent your kids Christmas presents. Be afraid. Be very afraid.
