Want to tow, don't want to wire

06 LR3, no hitch ever or trailer wiring. Thinking I might have to use it to pull a trailer for our move to NC, but don't want a big expense for a vehicle I likely won't tow with much at all. I mean damn the receiver is dumb money already.

Is there a "easy" way to tap into the break lights on LR3 so I can have that function on the trailer? I don't want to get entire wiring harness and go through that exercise for a car I won't likely pull with at all in the future.

There isn't a wiring plug already available for trailer wiring? Can etrailers.com set you up?

The hitch is the expense. The wiring is cheap and a joke to install.

LR3 Trailer Wiring Kits (With Part# YWJ500220) -LR3 Parts

I would not skimp on the trailer hitch though. Get the genuine one. I had this thing for my bike rack
Rover Trailer Hitch Receiver - Land Rover Tow Accessories and someone tapped my bike rack when parked and the hitch folded.

The genuine one is much stronger.

Thanks for the advice Barry. I thought wiring was way more involved, that kit does look easy. Will definitely get genuine hitch.
