You may want to read through this before buying that. Have you confirmed there is no frame damage? More expensive than a fender and hood, plus by the time you put a little money into it, you could have had a much nicer truck at $22k and with a clean title.

Yeh, I've seen the vehicle in person. I'd like to put a galvanized chassis under one and end up with a clean one to my specs. If I buy one for 22k it won't be to my specs and it won't have a galvanized chassis which in most cases is just putting off the inevitable. Not to mention the project is fun.

True in some instances but you'd be surprised (I guess) how many do not need a new chassis - inevitable in 20-30+ years maybe. This will still be salvaged in the end though. Best of luck.

Not to mention all the other shit you will end up replacing when you do a frame swap.

Factor in things like fuel and brake lines and on top of it so much shit will end up breaking during disassembly that you didn't think about. Nothing is easy on these trucks.

If this truck was dirt cheap I would say do it or buy for the decent cage etc but at 16k for a salvage title, then need to put a bunch of time and money into to make it whole to in the end have a truck with a salvage title isn't worth it.

Horsey is right. I would say 9 out of 10 trucks have decent frames in the 20 to 30 range.

We have every part damaged (some new and some used). Chassis are on sale as I suspect that the truck will need a new one from the images. Located in Orlando close to the Airport.

you will likely throw $10,000 into that truck and you will still have a salvage title

It will cost more than 10k to fix it I would guess. The guy that is running the auction has been by the shop once or twice and seems like a good guy. I fear that perhaps he has put to much into this one and may not cover his investment with a fair profit.

It does seem strange that Wings has only made 2 posts and is located in the same city as the truck. This post could just be a plug to sale the truck.

For example, this would be a better truck. Basically the same price, same color, but it still has a complete front end, less rust, and a clean title.

I know I know - now we're just rubbing it in that the one you're looking at down there is way overpriced by a guy who bought it at auction just last week and is trying to flip it on eBay for a crazy price. We're just trying to tell you that you shouldn't just that truck because it's in your backyard - there are better options/trucks out there.
