Virginia Tax Assessments

Any of you fellow Virginians get your assessment yet? Last year they had me at 12k for my 94 D-90 and this year they upt it to 14k saying that it is a "classic" vehicle and will vary from year to year. What in the world!?

Just got mine -- the 90 was assessed at $14,025. The 110 . . . well, I have to pay $11 for the decal (god I love antique vehicles . . .)

We going to see you tonight Bill?

In NJ we pay sales tax when we first buy it, I think 6%... then every year, the only fee is registration, which I think equals about $76 due to the weight..

My old '66 Rover pickup has a "horseless carriage" tag that is renewed every 5 years for $1 a year; the D90 is a flat $40 a year. But of course we don't have any infrastructure for that matter. "We don't need no stinking roads"!
