Violation or Not?

Need you guys to tell me if I need to chill out or not.

Short version of the story is that there is a modeling group next to the gym I go to. I pulled up, said hello to that photographer in the black shirt - he didn't respond. I thought that was weird but carried on with my day. About 20 minutes later I watched him posing different "models" against/on my truck. I was dumbfounded. I went outside and jokingly asked, "So am I going to get copies of those photos?" He responded with a dirty look and condescendingly said, "Don't worry, I cropped in so far that you can't even see your truck."

Again, I was shocked that he was giving me attitude and decided it wasn't worth continuing the conversation and continued my workout.

So I've been sitting here stewing for a bit. Now I know it's only an exMOD Tithonus, but am I wrong or should people ask before they touch things that aren't theirs?

Hell, I would've been pumped if he asked me up front.

If that chick is the model, I would not admit a model was on my truck

It would only have been common courtesy to ask you...that right there is the problem nowadays... Common courtesies are out the window. When he gave you attitude I woulda said, great, then it doesn't matter what car you use...use your own.. And told him to get away for being an ass...had you not been such a dick I wouldn't have cared..piss off..

She better be really freaking hot (with benefits) if she thinks I'm gonna let her lean on my hood.

No, this is America, you can't just lean on someone else's stuff. He's an asshole for not asking first.

Probably true. It was all dirty from shooting and camping in the mountains earlier in the week.

Get the fuck off my truck? Ring a bell.... Think about it, if it was your $300K Lamborghini, Ferrari, McLaren etc.... What would you have said? Same thing applies to your Camry or Defender!

Well in all honesty that's what I wanted to say. But I'm a pretty easy going kind of guy and this world has a lot more problems than this petty encounter, but damn I'm happy to hear that I'm not crazy.

I think the going rate for a day with a "prop car" for a photo shoot is in the $250-$500 range. That is theft of services. LOL! I would have stepped out and asked them to move away. If they want it in the background, that is one thing, leaning on it is another. You would have been in the right to ask them to move away.

Guy looks like he is creeping on that girl more than taking her photo.

And I would be pretty pissed. He is full of shit about cropping out your truck. It is obvious he is using the D as a background prop.

I would tell your gym that you noticed them nearby your truck and you might be missing a small item or 2. You never know what scheme people could be playing.

I have been pretty luck, people actually ask if they could look at the truck or even take a picture of it...I used to get that with the Testarossa...and if the kid was clean...I would let them sit in the drivers seat so the dad could take a picture...

This guy sounds like a DICK...he could asked if you minded and even offer to send you a couple shots of your truck...yep...DICK!

Wait until it shows up in news stands then sue for royalties.

I'll tell you from personal experience.
A few years back in front of the Harley shop, I caught someone trying out my bike. They were off of it by the time I got out the door.

The jiffy stand (kickstand for some of you) had not full extended and left the bike standing straight up. If I had not been there to catch it, it would have hit the ground.

My 2, ask before touching. If you damage it, be prepared to pay the cost of fixing it.

Wait, Aren't you on like double secret probation or something Shayne?....

Obviously the guy was not a professional photographer, as he would have asked if he could use your truck as a background, which he clearly was doing. He was probably a creeper, who lured that girl on craigslist into letting him take photos.

Well it is a multinational modeling agency but I'll let this picture speak for itself.

I don't see a model, he's a dick and not a pro, and your truck looks hot and pretty.

You would have been in your rights to shoo them away for their lack of respect for you or your property and the "use" of your truck via contact with it, not simply in front of it as their claimed "background" would only require.

I'm sure that his plan was some casting couch action!
