Vehicle transport CO to VA

Can anyone recommend a car transport company that they have used before for either open or enclosed trailer? Thinking I would rather just pay than do it myself.

Not interested in the transport company that just recently destroyed a D90 on an open carry from CO to NC.

Thanks in advance for any help!

Why not? The owner made $10k on the deal and I got a sweet donor rig for my 110 build.

I used UnitedRoad, paid $433 to ship from Michigan to Maryland, back in Aug 2012.

Whoever you use, make sure to ask a lot of questions. Ask if they subcontract. The things that drive the cost up... closed versus open carrier and if it needs to be at the destination site at a specified time/day. If you're flexible, it will keep the cost low.

My only irritation (not really a complaint, since it arrived unscathed) was that it was delivered using a 3 car hauler...I had envisioned a larger car carrier. They obviously subcontracted the job. Had I known it was going to be hauled by that, while being pulled by a small pickup, I would have declined. The positive part was it was delivered almost a day early...driver called around 8PM the day before and could drop it off that night. He didn't come until close to 11PM.

Matt, in my experience the trans cos go primarily work through brokers. I recently sold a 110 to a family in NH. They did a ton of research and ended up using a broker out of Florida. The company that picked up the truck to haul from Virginia was vey professional and took great care loading it in his container and it arrived without a scratch. A couple weeks ago I sold a 110 soft top to a family in CT and they asked if i had suggestions on trans so I referred them to the broker and everything worked out very smooth without any excuses. They picked up on time and dropped off on time, no scratches.

If you want to call them this is the broker's cell phone. (954) 274-5214 and his name is Pete.

Feel free to drop my name. he should remember me given early 110's is not something they see everyday.

Good luck
Clay

I've successfully used Dependable for driver quality cars.

OTOH, If you want the best, no apologies, professional transportation, and are prepared to pay for it; Horseless Carriage is the way to go. I've used them (periodically) for 20 years and have never had a single problem.
