Value of 4.0 Engine setup

Diesel swap is in the future. Just trying to gauge the value of the 4.0 that I currently have in the truck. Has 140k on it. Heads were redone at 135k.

Thanks in advance!

Is it too late to change the title to: "Naked Chicks on Top of Defenders (and btw, how much is a 4.0 worth?)"

That will attract more traffic.

Vendors on Dweb and here sell it for ~$1,500+. But, that's a different ballgame.

Maybe $850

I have had a known strong running 4.0 out of a 98 disco with appx 90k for sale for $800 for a year. Its was in the truck that I got rolled over by the semi in. Seemingly they don't sell unless you give them away.

I had two 3.9s I offered for free and they still are here.

That being said, the complete D90 engine with everything to make it run from rad to flywheel is probably worth some decent money.

Trade In?

When we pull them, running or not, they sit outside until we buy an OM617 at pick-n-pull and then trade them in to avoid the $75 core charge.
