Vacation to Maine

Well, it's hot as hell in Mississippi this time of year, so my wife decided that next summer we are going to Maine for a week to "cool off"! I told her that was a great idea so she booked the trip today. I only had one stipulation............we have to go buy ECR to visit the Defender Mecca! I'm pretty excited!

Sorry but your talking about a guy who turns in some great people and maybe not so great to the feds for his own personal gain. He cost a lot of people money and headaches. Throw me off defender source if you must but I have to spit on the ground when i hear a certain persons name.

And I was an English major in college. That happens when you type on a phone!

If they won't allow visitors, I'll just visit Copley instead when we fly into Boston.

Happy to help with ideas. How long you going to be here? Portland is an outstanding fishing town and you will want a couple days to check it out. Under 2 hours on coastal Rt1 to Rockland and ECR. Just let them know you are coming and be sure it's a weekday. One of the top restaurants in Maine is 5 miles outside of Rockland, Primo. Very busy so you need reservations but arguably a top 5 meal in the state. The Rockland/Camden area is beautiful and you will really love it to stay and check it out. Read about Rockland Lobsterfest. I think it's around this weekend each year. Really fun. You can stay and small B&B or at a nice really cool resort called Samoset. Big $ Golf course. If you have a couple additional days trek north another 2 hours on the coastal roads and you land Downeast in Bar Harbor. Another great spot.

If you want more off the beaten path type day trips I can weigh in on that too.
