Vacation

Just got back from 3 weeks in Europe. Flew into Venice and my eldest daughter who drove from the UK picked us up at the airport. Spent two days there then drove to Kamno Slovenia where my youngest daughter has a second home. Stayed a week touring round. Youngest drove back to the UK and we went back to Italy so my eldest and her husband could fly back leaving me their car. Following day we headed to Saltzburg, Austria and spent a few days there. We were going to stay in Germany for a few days but decided to head straight to Brussels where my brother lives. Sunday in Brussels was traffic free and every monument which isn't usually open to the public opened its doors free of charge, public transport was also free , made for a cheap day. Spent a day in Brugge. From there we headed to Calias to get the ferry back to the UK and spent the last few days with my kids. 20+ days and only 3 hotels and no car hire, had a great time.

Nice. Did you make it out to Halstatt, or better yet Obertraun, while in Austria? Obertraun is probably the most beautiful place I've ever been.

It was almost 6-years to date when I met you, Jimmy. We were drinking Jameson warmed on the stove with a little butter added. You ended up passing out and we put you into someone's tent. I'm glad to see you made it home.

Daniel, It was Jameson, Ginger ale and sugar boiled on the stove, mind blowing.
Joshua, Only did Saltzburg. See enough beauty in Slovenia.

OOOOHHHH NO..

Jameson and ginger is my favorite drink, now you made me have to try it a different way? You boil it and add sugar?

I usually stick in the microwave with sugar allready added and catch it just before it boils over.

When I was in Africa we were drinking Gin and Ginger Ale during our Sundowners. Called them Ginger Rogers.

Sounds like a fantastic vacation. Long time no see, Jimmy. Planning on going to Winter Romp this year? I think I might try and make it this year hopefully.
