Va. to Stop Recognizing Concealed Permits From 25 States

They didn't exclude Tejas! Thats odd I've never seen so many guns as in Tejas and they will be allowing open carry in Government buildings and the like! Big changes coming in 2016.

Looks like they still recognize Utah, so the out of state utah permit will still be valid there it seems, right?

Pretty thoughtless, knee jerk reaction to recent events that will have greatest effect on Virginia residents. Reciprocal agreements and such.

"Common sense step"... target citizens who legally purse a permit rather take on the real issues. Go get em Mr. Herring

Mines still good! Don't have much of a reason to go to Virginia though...

At least you guys can get a permit. Here, Chief Lanier must determine I've been legitimately threatened for me to be allowed to obtain a permit. One more reason for considering a move to TX!

Oh yeah North Carolina must be REAL slack, and a threat since we are so loose. Got mine last January, after 8 hour class and exam and target qualifying. Filed with Meck county and they did 3 month background and mental health check! ( no comments from Overlander there), geeeez what do you have to do in TEXAS Bill Larson!!!

Maine removed its requirement for CC permit this past October. Still waiting for "The Wild West" as the anti-gun camp predicted.

This is nothing short of a gun grab. Most of the states no longer honored are tougher than VA to get CC permit, NC being a prime example. Strictly political, as the logic of the VA Attorney General is that this will now make it harder for criminals to conceal their weapons.

I have mine in CT and a Non Resident Permit in PA. Gonna get my instructor certification in January so I can license CT, MA, and RI. Later on in 2016 I'll grab Utah and Florida permits.
