The escort fighters will be at the Udvar-Hazy center on display.

I work fairly close to the Potomac River and they're flying right down the middle. Very cool.

Any source to watch the video?

Must have taken alot of paperwork to make this happen. One does not just fly through DC like that....

I see your president has no interest in what's happening in DC

I should have check my emails. A Curtiss Helldiver declared an emergency - hydraulic leak. Closed a runway at DCA.

Went for a jog around the mall and stopped occasionally to take photos. Cool display. Last one is a B29. That shit was BIG.

The B29 was big for its day.

I had the opportunity to fly Fifi (that's her name) a couple of years ago. It wasn't as big as I had perceived it.

I wore my grandfather's leather flight jacket from when he flew them which was a topic of conversation with the crew.

My grandfather had also flown the B17, B25, and the little known B36.
His flying career ended with the B47 when he was diagnosed with cancer in 59 just before moving up to the B52. He retired in 64 after 5 years flying a desk.

My uncle was co-piloting the B-29 today. The Fifi is actually named after my grandmother. If you look at the marking on the tail, it is a large A for Agather (Fifi Agather). My grandfather, Col. Victor Agather, funded the rebuild oft the B-29. I grew up flying around in that and a Beechcraft C-45 that also flew today.

i had no idea the B29 was going to be involved in the flyover. I had never seen one flying before. i though the show was over with the B17 as the big finally. Then when they started the narration for the B29 I went ape shit.

I would have loved to be in DC yesterday just to hear all that radial awesomeness in the air. It's like the sound version of diesel, cordite and bacon fumes all mixed together.

Some pics I took from the WWB. Unfortunately the camera battery crapped out right as the two corsairs were heading my way.
