I think I'm going to have the longest explanation.............

My ex wife has a brother who used to be a SF fireman, he got brain damage on the job and now lives in a care facility, but is pretty high functioning. One symptom is he writes stuff on post-it notes and sticks them on the wall. In the maybe 100 notes he has ignotus posted about 20 times. He tends to repeat himself, he asked me if I knew what ignotus meant, when I said no he told me it was Latin for unknown. I caught his irony that "we" did not know what unknown in Latin was.
At the time I thought what a good online name it would be but I already had a online moniker.
Then in 09 I bought my 88 a 60 by the VINN #, but it had some curious changes by PO's. The Rover was originally a RHD petrol meant for the home market and was now a LHD diesel in the USA, it had Polish tyres, the front wings had been apart and the headlamps moved from the breakfast to the wings ala Series 2a, the holes in the breakfast were plated on the back welded in and bondoed. The new headlamps were of Indian mfr and highbeam was 45W. All the running/stop lights were Italian, the ign key is BMW. A interior light was set up to come on when the doors opened but didn't work, there was bondo over the entire body even though there are no dents. At one point the entire Landy was painted International Orange, except the top- inside outside, wheels everything. Inside the tub was popriveted 1'x1' vinyl pieces, you couldn't slide anything as all the corners and edges were turned up, I removed and replaced over 150 poprivets and put down a 1 piece mat. The steering as I said had been converted to LHD, they just flipped the RH steering box upside down, you could no longer put oil in it.....the steering draglink was only about 18" long going to the LH wheel, must have been too much work to do a proper conversion.
So many WTF??? unknowns it had to be named Ignotus. Short story I got my username from my car....

I'll go out on a limb and say he's a Marine (called Devil Dogs) and he has/had a disco.

Yes! I am and and Yes! I did. Thanks Doc!

Marines admire Corpsmen but have less admiration for their tools, specifically the "silver bullet". I know many a Marine that did things they thought they couldn't to avoid the "silver bullet"

Goose - I think Jehovah Nissi can be found in Exodus, more of an anglicized name...

Pete,

That is true , but the problem is Moses spoke broken Hebrew in a worse fashion than my hebItaspanglish LOL

Moses spoke Arameo ( Aramaic ) and Chalderean as he was a Caldero

Then , if taken that in considerarion NISSI is referred as REFUGE, so would have been Jehova is my Refuge,

Jehova was to be the Lord, but the dude ( Moses that is ) represented in himself because The one to be, appears constantly to him

Lastly

the correct Hebrew ( from the good ol days ) for the expression The One has appeared / has become is

Havah Nes

But to Nerd R Us channel

Mine is an homage to the greatest film ever...
Well, there are certainly many other great movies, but none that I could drop what I'm doing to watch whenever it is playing. I seriously could watch TBL ever day for the rest of my life and it would never get old.
http://thebiglebowski.wikia.com/wiki/Jackie_Treehorn

Other characters were too obvious to the casual fan. I needed a pseudonym that only a real fan of TBL would get. I think Karl Hungus and others were already spoken for on some other forums, so Jackie Treehorn it was.

Thanks for the heads up!
They are Larry Sellers' house right now
I never think to check IFC because the commercial fuck everything up.
That scene where the Dudes car is getting smashed with a tire iron is supposed to break seemlessly into the three of them driving with no windshield and Santana's "Oyo como Va" playing in the background.
They broke to a commercial instead

No, I don't think it looked like Larry was about to crack, Walter.
